Island Rallysport Club and the organizing committee for Crestline Trail Rally (originally planned for June 21/22 2008 in the Kootenay area of BC) regret to announce postponement of the rally until late August or early September. A new date will be announced in the near future. New date is September 6/7.

Some of the roads here and there over the area of the rally are wet and flooded at this time with no guarantee they will be repaired and useable by rally date, despite the graders and crews seen working on them. A late August to early September timeframe will ensure return of the roads to superb condition; and the rally could be run at that time with minimal conflict with other rally events.

Although the organizing committee was extremely pleased by the positive response and interest to the rally announcement last week, the organizers are aware that potential entrants have significant concerns about the timetable, accommodation and other arrangements as published in the original Supp. Regs. Entrant concerns, particularly by long term, experienced rallyists, are always of primary importance to the organizers. These concerns will be addressed when revised Supp Regs are released with the announcement of a new date.

It is hoped that our interest in making this rally a premier event, by waiting until the roads are repaired and by listening to entrant concerns, encourages even more interest than already received. We apologize for any inconvenience that may result from this postponement.
