Come out. Learn how
to count down rally starts and not
have your toes run over. Learn how to
time flying finishes, fill in time cards, and
use radios and rally clocks. There will be
a general orientation session, after which time
controls will be set up. Several rally cars
will be available and you can practise your
marshaling skills.
I want workers to feel competent and confident before
they find themselves on the side of a logging
road, in the bush. The workers' orientation, will
teach you the skills that you will need and
give you a chance to practise them. If you
are wondering about volunteering, it will give
you an idea about what you might be getting
yourself into if you do volunteer.
In June, 2003, the Pacific Forest
Rally will be a national event, part of the
Canadian National Rally Championships series and
we will need a few more volunteers than for the
regional event, Mt. Trials. Experienced
workers are the most valuable of volunteers.
If you plan to volunteer for the national event,
if you have already volunteered to work Mt Trials,
or, if you are just curious about what might be
involved in "working" an event----come
out. For more information, contact betty@rallybc.com
See you there!
